The very popular TV animation and PSP games “The Little Battlers / Danball Senki” in Japan is going to release a digital card battle game “data Carddass”. Level Five and the toy company BANDAI has jointly developped “Danball Senki Carddass data” / The Little Battlers Trading card game machine, operate in Japan to begin in late November.
It will charge 100 Yen (aprox. $1.30 USD) for 1 player (1 card), 200 Yen (aprox. $2.60 USD) for 2 players (2 cards). They are targetting the age 10 to 12 year-old boys and expanding in department stores, toy retailers and amusement facilities.
It was exhibited in “LEVEL5 WORLD 2011″ held at Tokyo Big Sight on October 15 and 16, 2011. LBX Achilles, Little Battlers eXperience promotion cards was given out to the visitors in the exhibition and try their new digital TCG game machine.
“The Little Battlers / Danball Senki / Cardboard Senki” is a PSP game release by Level Five. TV animation started to air from March 2011 and released a manga series from ”Corocoro comic” (Shogakukan).
LBX plastic models have sold more than 1.5 million since its launch in September 2011. This new digital card game will be joining this market.
“Data Carddass” is an entertainment that combined a card game and digital data game. Total number of sales since its launch in 2005 will be approximately 10 to 240 million cards.
“Dragonball Z” and “PriCure” series, “One Piece”, “Mask Rider” has been commercialized as digital card games. All series are very popular in Japan, there is expectations on “The Little Battlers” digital card game.
In either game, the game provides character data in the development of Level Five, further, the game was jointly developed with Level Five and Bandai. Both companies are going to work together in marketing in the future.
In terms of business this project has become a new initiative for “Data Carddass”. The integration with games, manga and anime are aimed.
